The Buildings
La Casa de l'Almudí
17th-century house sensitively restored in 2006 in the old quarter of Calaceite (Teruel).
This stone building was formerly a public granary known by the name of Almudí, of Saracen origin. The building served as a general store for goods and as a cereals exchange, and provided accommodation for merchants.
The restoration of the property has resulted in three independent apartments. The care taken over the décor and furnishings is evident, and each room has been refurbished in a way that combines the original rustic architecture with the comfort and conveniences of modern living.
The entire house or individual apartments are available for rent: Almanara, for 8-10 people, and Almud and Alkuza, both of which can accommodate 2-4 people.
El Patio de la Torreta
Late 18th-century house restored in 2011.
Formerly a barn and pens for animals, this building has been refurbished in a way that makes the most of the open, well-lit structure with large windows and arcades that connect the interior of the apartments with a courtyard that is the ideal spot for drinks after dinner, soirées and get-togethers for friends and family.
The house has two apartments, each designed according to a slightly different concept, but which complement each other through the combination of stone and glass that is a feature of both.
L'Arc is an apartment for 2-5 people and is ideal for couples with children. It is on the ground floor and various rooms open out onto the inner courtyard.
L'Àtic (2-4 people) has a double room with jacuzzi and a large open space with two sofa beds. In this space, the eye is drawn to a minimalist fireplace, suitable for burning real wood, and the large picture window, which give the apartment a special character and visual appeal.
